☞ Table of Contents:

Coffee is an important issue for many people! Having a great cup of coffee can make your day, so before you travel to a new place you should do your research on the best coffee spots. To make this easier for you, we have searched and found the best places in Thessaloniki where you can enjoy the best cup of coffee!

TOMS Flagship Store & Cafe

This is one of the most interesting coffee spots in Thessaloniki. It is located in the heart of the city center and the commercial center of Thessaloniki. All Thessalonians know this place as the ‘”old post”, as the building dates back to 1924

TOMS probably sounds very familiar!

That is because it is an international brand selling shoes, eyewear, and bags. But it is not only that! The company has a strong eco-friendly and philanthropic identity. The moto of the company is ONE FOR ONE; for every product purchased from the store, the company helps a needy person. In particular, TOMS has more than 100 giving partners where they donate shoes, provide vision rehabilitation, provide access to safe birth conditions, and launch anti-bullying campaigns in third world countries.

Further to these actions, in 2014 the company launched its own “TOMS Roasting Co”.

In 2015, the TOMS Flagship store opened its doors to all Thessalonians. The philosophy of “one for one” is the same in the coffee store as well. So, for every bag of coffee used, the company gives approximately 140 liters of clean potable water to a person who lives in the areas that the coffee is produced and has no access to potable water. By drinking a cup of coffee in TOMS, a person has clean water for 24 hours. So impressive!

Bonbonela – The Cute Bar

If you are a vintage lover and you feel nostalgic for the golden decades of the ‘60s and ‘70s, this is the place for you! The owner had the same passion and searched for every piece of furniture that is decorating the place at the moment. The result of this is a place that gives the impression that you are starring in a Hollywood movie back in the ’70s.

This cute bar opens its door at 7.00 am every day. The pleasant smell of the freshly-cut coffee beans makes Thessalonians lining up for their first coffee of the day. Whether they choose the takeaway option or the drink in option, the breweries of Bonbonela don’t stop every day.

Apart from the vintage decoration, there are some more things you need to know about this cute bar. Firstly, smoking is strictly prohibited on its premises. Thus the place is kids-friendly. Secondly, feel free to bring your beloved pet, as Bonbonela is pet-friendly. The most important thing is that this place has a minimum footprint, meaning that nothing is wasted but instead is being reused.

Paraty & Loft

In the most beautiful neighbor of Ladadika stands a huge vintage building, where Paraty and Loft Cafe is located.

Since 2015, when it opened its doors to the public, it has been the talk of the town. And we understand why!

Getting into Paraty you will immediately feel the coziness of this place. The interior design is based on vintage items, like the beautiful piano that decorates a cozy corner where you can enjoy your morning coffee. My personal favorite thing about Paraty, however, is the big windows which let the Greek sunlight in and brighten the whole place.

Climb up the stairs to the 3rd floor and you will be in the Loft. This floor’s decoration is inspired by cinematography and it is ideal for your afternoon coffee. Apart from coffee, the Loft has a special cocktail and wine list, ready for your special moments.

You will find the staff at Paraty & Loft are more than friendly and ready to help you have your best experience. Do not miss the chance to pass by!

The Caravan Cafe

The Caravan is the cafe of “The Caravan Bed and Breakfast” in Thessaloniki. It is a small place, but so cozy and welcoming that it will steal your heart. The interior design consists of old vintage furniture that is remade with a contemporary twist and the theme of travel and adventure is dominant in the place.

The colorful corners are waiting for you to enjoy a cup of traditional Greek coffee, along with their specialty the legendary chocolate cake. If you are more of a traditional type, go for the “submarine” vanilla or “biskotoloukoumo” from their menu.

Plateia Theatrou

Plateia Theatrou coffee bar means theater square. This place got its name from the location as it is located in the square in front of the “Aristotelion Theater”. The decoration is minimal with an artistic characteristic that matches the theater view. But this is not its only view! Just 20 meters away the White Tower stands tall and the sea behind it completes the perfect scenery.

The ideal season to visit this coffee shop is in spring or summer when you can enjoy the beautiful yard in the exterior of the cafe. You can accompany your cup of coffee with pancakes, sandwiches or eggs.

BONOBO Cafe – Bar

If you want to enjoy your coffee away from the fuzziness of the city center, you have to drive just a few kilometers and find BONOBO cafe-bar.

The interior design brings something from the classic rock-bars of the previous decades. In the summertime, you can enjoy the outdoor space, which will remind you something from the Greek islands, with the windmills and white-washed seatings.

The greatest advantage of BONOBO is undoubtedly its great view. While you are enjoying a fine cup of coffee, a panoramic view of Thessaloniki and Thermaic Gulf stands in front of you. We strongly suggest you order the Greek coffee, which is served in a traditional way accompanied by a cup of “submarine” vanilla, or a plate of preserves.

BONOBO Cafe Barnt: 78 Miaouli str, Plagiari Thessaloniki 575 00
